Recount Text Is A Text That Telling The Readers About One Story, Action Or Activity

Recount text adalah teks yang menceritakan tentang suatu cerita, tindakan, atau kegiatan. Recount text menceritakan suatu kejadian atau pengalaman yang

terjadi dimasa lalu atau lampau. Seperti pengalaman anda ketika berlibur dan pengalaman yan

g lain. Recount text berbeda dengan narrative text, pada recount text tidak terdapat complication atau konflik masalah.

Tujuan recount text adalah untuk menghibur atau menginformasikan para pembaca. Tujuan komunikatif dari recount text adalah menceritakan suatu pengalaman atau kejadian yang telah terjadi / kejadian pada masa lampau dengan tujuan untuk menghibur para pembaca.

Generic Structure Of Recount Text

Susunan struktur recount text

1.Orientation

Menceritakan mengenai latar belakang informasi tentang siapa, dimana, kapan kejadian atau peristiwa terjadi.

2.Events

Menceritakan suatu peristiwa yang terjadi setelahnya diceritakan sesuai urutan kronologis. Pada bagian ini juga terdapat komentar pribadi tentang peristiwa atau kejadian yang diceritakan.

3.Reorientation

Berisi rangkuman atau conclusion dari semua kejadian. Pada bagian ini juga berisi pendapat atau kesan penulis tentang kejadian yang diceritakan.

Ciri kebahsasaan dari recount text adalah :

1.Menggunakan kalimat dalam bentuk Past Tense. Contoh : I went to Bali last year, and I was very happy.

2.Menggunakan Action Verbs. Contoh : went, bought, wrote, slept dan lain-lain.

3.Menggunakan Adverbs and Adverbial Phrase untuk mengungkapkan waktu, tempat, dan cara. Contoh : yesterday, at stadion, quickly, dan lain-lain.

4.Menggunakan Conjunction dan Time Connectives untuk mengurutkan peristiwa atau kejadian. Contoh : but, and, after that, dan lain-lain.

Recoun text memiliki  3 macam, yaitu :

1.Personal Recount Text, yaitu recount text yang menceritakan tentang pengalaman peribadi.

2.Factual Recount, yaitu laporan peristiwa yang benar-benar terjadi, seperti laporan percobaan, laporan kepolisian, dan lain-lain.

3.Imaginative, yaitu membuat cerita imaginative (imajinsai).

Recount text memiliki beberapa ciri, diantaranya :

1.Memiliki judul yang merangkum teks.

2.Memiliki cerita yang berurutan.

3.Banyak menggunakan verb dan kata keterangan waktu lampau.

Contoh 1 :

Hoiday In Ungaran Mountain

Last week I and my friends had to go to Ungaran Mountain for the requirement of school program. EGP was one of school activity which is focused on activity that related with nature.

On this occasion we tried to climbed Ungaran Mountain together. Before we going to the mountain, firstly we met in B3 park to checked the participant and the logistic. We had to checked it because of safety. We always paid attention with safety, because the place that we came was dangerous place.

 After checking all of thing, we went to the mountain together. We tried to go on foot, because it was one of the physical train. We saw many beautiful sceneries on all day long. There is tea garden, waterfall, beautiful farm, etc.

Finally we got to the mountain, it was very amazing. Over there we saw a hidden waterfall and we took arrest. We were exhausted but we didn’t felt that because we enjoyed it and that was a very fantastic trip.

Contoh 2 :

My Best Friend, Haruka

In Senior high school, I had best friend from Jepang. Her name was Haruka. She was beautiful, smart, and low profile. Because of that, many people loved her, included of me. Even though she was from foreign country that considered by many students she would be arrogant, but Haruka was different. She was a good girl.

Haruka and I became good friend each other. I was really glad having friend like her, although she was from rich family and I wasn’t. She enjoyed having a friend like me and there was no problem, for her, to share everything to me. For the example, when she had something, like knowledge, foods, or even gifts, she would give to me. Then, I did the same thing like her, if my mom made a food in which my mom usually made a traditional food, I would give that food to Haruka. We ate together, we had fun together.

One day, I was invited by Haruka’s family to attend Haruka’s birthday. I came to the building where she held her birthday party. I was very surprised when I looked to the building. It  was very luxurious and the entry had a quite beautiful decoration. I felt afraid to go inside. So, I only waited on the outside of the building, more precisely, I stood by the fence. After several minutes, I saw Haruka went out from the building. Oh my god!, she saw me. Soon after that, she came to me and asked why I did not come in. I did not answer, I only smiled. Then, she said to me that her birthday would not be started without me. I was very touched in hearing that and I hugged her. Then, Haruka and I came in. Many guests had arrived and suddenly they looked at Haruka and me. I was very shy. Then, the party started. Before that, Haruka’s parents introduced me to the guests that I was the best friend of her daughter.

Furthermore, the thing that made me surprise that Haruka’s family wanted me follow them to holiday in Japan next month. Off course I want because it must be interesting experience. Many people gave applause to me and Haruka’s family. I was so touched and on that place I wanted to cry. I was fortunate having friend like Haruka and knew Haruka’s family well.
